5 Free Helpful Apps for ACIM Students

Studying A Course in Miracles takes practice and as we all know, so much vigilance! We’ve compiled a list of apps to make it so much easier for you to keep ACIM top of mind throughout the day and also dig more deeply into your beliefs to release them to Spirit. These are all free and so helpful. Enjoy!

#1 InsightTimer

When you don’t have a lot of time in the morning to do the daily Workbook lesson, this app will play a sound of your choice at the beginning and end of your meditation. There are nine different sound options to choose from, most of them bells and gongs. If you only have five minutes, it will let you know when the five minutes is up. It takes the concern for time completely out of the equation so you can breathe deeply and easily. It has a nice warm up option to allow you to get situated before the first bell too.

New to meditation? They offer a free 7 day course to help you learn.

Are you looking for guided meditations? They include 40,000 free on this app as well. They have them categorized so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for.

Having trouble sleeping? They have that covered too. They offer thousands of free music tracks and stories to help you to get a better night’s sleep.

There’s a lot to discover on this app. An added bonus is that at the end of your meditation, it lets you know how many people meditated with you and shows you how many were nearby. We’re always surprised at the number of people meditating at the same time we are!

#2 Spiri

David Hoffmeister and Living Miracles Monastery have put together so many wonderful resources in one app. There are more resources on the website too. Everything from podcasts to articles to movie commentary is available.

The most unique feature is what they call the Spiri bot, an AI that will guide you through unwinding your beliefs and thoughts that are seemingly causing you pain and suffering. We’ve used this bot quite often to “unwind our mind” and it lovingly guided us through such a beautiful experience to remove the blocks to Love’s awareness.

#3 ACIM

Jennifer Hadley at Living A Course in Miracles was inspired to offer this wonderful tool to ACIM students. So if your ACIM book is getting a little heavy to carry around, download the ACIM app so you can carry the Text, Workbook and Manual for Teachers in the palm of your hand.

There are a lot of great features to this app. Mark your favorite sections of the text, bookmark where you left off, add notes and share text on social media or email. If you know a passage, but don’t know where to find it, there is also a search feature.

#4 David Hoffmeister ACIM

If you don’t have a chance to attend any of David Hoffmeister’s online or in-person retreats, many of them are available on Spreaker. Now David has a free app to access all of these quickly and easily. Take David’s Spreaker audio with you wherever you go! We like to listen to them on long rides in the car, while we’re cooking together or during our cleaning frenzies.

#5 ACIM Remind

ACIM Workbook with Reminders

Last, but certainly not least, this app is brought to you by the Foundation for Inner Peace. Before we discovered this app, we would do the lesson, half the day would go by and then we’d remember…oh yeah…what’s the lesson for today? If this has been your experience, download this gem. It’s the app we use the most. Every hour of every day. We’ve learned to look forward to that sweet sound (which, by the way, is customizable) to remind us again of the Workbook lesson.

The full lesson text for each day is available. There is also a separate section that gives all of the reminder text to repeat hourly to make it even easier to practice the lesson.

Love and gratitude,

Jake & Shannon
